    • A native of Brooklyn, Eric L. Adams earned a BA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and an MA Marist College. After graduating from the Police Academy, he served in the New York City Police Department for 22 years, retiring to make a successful run for the New York State Senate, where he represented the 20th District for four terms. In 2013, Eric was elected Brooklyn Borough President, the first African-American to hold that office.
